App: Jorte (Calender)

I didn't care for the stock calendar that came on my Evo. I didn't like it's esthetics. I noticed that it was difficult to browse through my events and other information. Additionally, tasks weren't integrated into the calendar.

Enter Jorte. This is one of my favorite apps.  The app is very straightforward to set up, it's options menu is standard android fare. The calendar easily syncs up with google calendar, the tasks sync up with google tasks. Menu --> Options --> Select calendar --> Google Calendar. That's all it takes, and you're done.

This is the most customizable app I've seen. Opening the Settings tab (Menu --> Options --> Settings) brings you to an almost overwhelming array of choices, this includes everything from task setup to widget transparency. If you still find yourself bored, then dare to enter into the style menu  (Menu --> Style). Here you will find a dizzying amount presentation styles and color selections.

The app does have a few small bugs in it. Occasionally it will launch my task list instead of the calender, but always works the second time. The scrolling could also be smoother, it takes quite a bit of effort to get from month to month. Jorte would get a perfect score were it not for those two nagging issues.
